Hi, I'm Rodimus_2316, I introduced myself in the Genral Chat board above. I'm not sure which board to post on in this section, so I'll try this one. I have 2 series I'd like to add to PVT: "G1 Transformers: Virtual Season 4 Extension" & "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero: Virtual Season 3" (Sunbow show). Neither has started releasing virtual eps yet, but the first 2 eps are in the works for TF by me (desperately need scripting-assistance with them from someone), and working with 1-2 other writers there, and I had one guy who was adamant about doing ARAH VS3; even had a VS3 character/story outline and was going to write the first 5 eps even, but later disappeared (I still have some of his notes). We'll be writing typical fanfic-episodes (any format is fine, as long as they're episodes), with fan-drawn "screen-captures" around the text for each ep. Every ep will be rated with a poll system, from 1-10 (best to worst). The toy-intro patterns for both shows will be continued normally, with everything written as if done at the time the real seasons would have been done (1987 for both shows, currently). Old character usage will now be allowed also, escpecially for TF, but in a limited quantity (1987 TFs are the main stars). If anyone here is interested in helping these two series get going, it'd be greatly appreciated. I really need help understanding G.I. Joe's toy-intro-pattern too (TF's in much simpler). Also need webmasters/webdesigners, wrtiers, artists, and video-makers for both projects. These'll be brother/sister sites, so they're in-continuity with each other, although each series is done by different writers of different Yahoo Group staffs (except me, I'm going to be a continuity-liason between both groups). Here are our links: G1 Transformers Cartoon: Virtual Season 4 Extension: http://www.logopolis.pwp.blueyonder.co. ... ormers-tv/ (OLD SITE) http://www.virtualtransformerstv.thetfcog.com (CURRENT SITE/UNDER CONSTRUCTION) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PVTransformers Virtual Transformers Forum: http://www.tfcog.net/forums/index.php?board=19.0 (Sunbow) G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero: Virtual Season 3: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Virtual_GI_JoeThere's a post on the Virtual Transformers Forum that lists the submissiosn guidelines to the G1 Virtual Season 4 Extension Project: http://www.tfcog.net/forums/index.php?topic=606.0We had to move the files from the old site to the new site because the webmaster of the old one disappeared, without even giving us his FTP, so the files are being downloaded from the webbrowser of our current substitue-webmaster (only doing the transfering, need a regular one when he's done), and uploaded onto the new site. We also need a site for G.I. Joe. The Yahoo Groups are staff lists. You can reach me anytime if you want to talk to me about anything, privately or otherwise.

I'm going to move this topic into 'Help Wanted' since you seem to be requesting the help of a staff to assist you . BY the way I checked out some of your links, was the 2099 thing meant to be developed into some thing a long time ago or is that still in the works ? Erin

Erin It was in the works for awhile, but is in kind of a "slow time" right now. Only 3 of the 14 characters ever really got worked on for the game, plus another staff member is doing a screen pack, and another guy was doing Spider-Man 2099's voice, last time I checked. Just not enough interest in the mugen community in making a mugen Marvel 2099 game, I guess. From the screen shots animated it looked pretty sweet . Back when the 2099 series were going on I used to collect them and even subscribed to two by the default of one series getting canceled mid-way though. Kicker is it was Doom, I came soo close to subscribing to Spider-Man. Erin

Erin If you're still interested in 2099, there's a fan-community/fanfic group that continues the stories with ignoring the bad World of Tomorrow stuff, called the "2099 UGR" (UnderGround Revised). I post on their board all the time: www.comicboards.com/2099ugIt's not affiliated with my mugen game, I'm doing that separetly on my own, to help 2099 also. The links to the URG fanfics pages should be on that board I linked.

Thanks for the link . I'd love to read the fan fic but for writing new 2099 stories I don't have any in mind. Erin

You could just post on the board, meet the other posters. And I've only been working on the mugen 2099 game for maybe 1 year, 2 tops; but yeah, the UGR's been around for over a decade now (used to be called just "2099 UG").

Maybe I'll join the forum, hee doubt I'll be able to use a user name I use on rare occasion there. Bet some one else has already taken Bloodhawk . About your game, I tried to download it's beta and the links are down . Erin

You might want to post on the mugen 2099 forum about downloads to get help with that. And why can't you post on the UGR board? I don't understand. And the handle "Bloodhawk" isn't taken yet at the board. Or were you referring to something about the mugen game?

I could post on the board I just don't have a interest yet to do so. One board that I've been a member to since Sept. '06, I was a lurker there for months in before joining. ...You don't know if people can download or not, some thing you created ( Spider-Man 2099 unfinished game )? Erin

Erin No, it's a Fall of the Hammer game, using the 8 heroes who were part of it (Hulk 2099 an extra), versus the bosses, the 5 Alchemax-made Aesir 2099 bosses: Baldur 2099, Heimdall 2099, Hela 2099, Loki 2099, and Thor 2099. AFAIK, the only downloads available are Spider-Man 2099 (and possibly Hulk 2099). It's been awhile since there's been activity on our forum and project, so it's hard to remember everything exactly. Also, I didn't do any of the spriting or staging, was more of an advisor role, offering the mugen-programmers info on 2099 for their work (have every 2099 comic ever released). I hope to learn how to do mugen-work soon so I can help out, taking on one of the remaining characters.

I only have one issue that features Hulk 2099 although I think for cameo sake Hulk also appears in the World of Tomorrow? I've never been big on the Avengers characters. Didn't think about the fact you could have been working with other people to make the software. I program solo along with what ever else is needed for the software in development. Erin

Erin No, Hulk 2099 was killed off in the "2099 A.D.: Apocalypse" one-shot, some time before WoT. And what other comics do you have that have him? He appeared in 2099 Unlimited #'s 1-6, then 10 issues of his own series before his death. And there are no Avengers in 2099 aside from the ones from the "2099: Manifest Destiny" one-shot finale. Are you familiar with mugen-game-making? We could sure use your help, if so.

Didn't know about 2099 A.D.: Apocalypse. That one issue I have that features the Hulk is 2099 Unlimited #2. There was some thing to be said for the local comic shop I went to years ago, if a title didn't sell one month that was new they wouldn't bring it back. 2099: Manifest Destiny was an issue I had to special order ahead of time out of a catalog and your right that's where I was pulling up that Avengers bit from. ...Yuh'd think Marvel would have bought them in earlier than at the end of 2099 for the fans. No, I'm not familiar with mugen-game-maker. Just today I visited the site that had it along with all the demo stages. Shame I can't play what I downloaded, my computer has no idea what to open the files with and I downloaded the compiler. I'm familiar with an old version of Game Maker and programming in HTML. It's some thing, along with what's based off 2099, I also wanna check out those DC VSes Marvel games ...I came so close to voting on that years ago. Erin

And about Manifest Desting and WoT, well, that was originally never supposed to have happened. In early 1996, the 2099 line's creator and EiC, Joey Cavalieri, was going to have the current titles cancelled, then have the saga continued in 2101 with two new series: Spider-Man 2101 and X-Men 2101. Doom in his book was back in the present, using crab venom on the present-day Latverians so they're decendants in 2099 wouldn't die from the sludge Herod had poured on them in 2099 at the forced ene of Doom's presidency. He would have been stopped, tried to jump back to 2099, but would've overshot and come to 2101. However, this is at the time when Marvel was forced to declare bankruptcy, and there was a One Nation Under Doom video game in the works (storyline named for Doom's forced American Presidency), which 2101 would've hindered, so Cavalieri was fired. Most of the 2099 staff respected Cavalieri, and walked out. However, this didn't work, and Marvel had Ben Raab finish off all the books instead, and have them lead into WoT, which was followed by Manifest Destiny a year and a half later. MD was actually written by the writer of Ghost Rider 2099, under Cavalieri, back in the day, and concluded the 2099 saga in a good way, despite the crappy events in WoT. It should also be noted that, when the project was under Cavalieri, it was the definate future of Marvel Earth-616, but when he was fired, it eventually became Earth-928. And Cavalier's team never had any ideas for an Avengers 2099 series, AFAIK. If you need more help understanding 2099, just LMK. If you need help with mugen, simply go to any forum for asking those questions, and I'm sure someone there will help you. They can help you learn how to work mugen, what programs you need to download and run the games, and all that.
