Video Game Game

I don't know how many people play video games, or have heard about them, but I figured that since this fit the forum description, I'd give this a try. After all, some video games fit the "Other Science Fiction and Fantasy" bill, right? Plus, I brought this up, and it wasn't shot down, so why not. :) Feel free to delete this if this does not belong, though.

I thought that I would make this interesting, so there is a slight variation to the movie game rules. Anyone who would like to play starts with zero points. Point values are rewarded for the correct answer. The number of points per game is at the discretion of the person who's turn this is, but should not be less than 1 and not higher than 10. If (When applicable), a person guesses the series the game belongs to, rather than the game itself, half points are rewarded, with .5s being rounded up.

Clues themselves can be the game plot, a significant character, year and system, etc. However, the clues themselves should be on a game and NOT a series. For example, Final Fantasy 4 is alright, but not Final Fantasy (series).

Games should be from a sci fi/fantasy genre.

Every wrong guess results in the loss of 2 points.

Good Luck!!!

(NES) After Princess Zelda is cast under a sleeping spell, Link must go to the six palaces and obtain the last Triforce piece to wake her up.

For any one who might not have seen this in the Star-Port the other night. I said I'd make this topic a sticky if it went up, like how the 'Name that Tune' is in General Chat :happy2:.

Now for the question in the game :) .
I think only two Zelda games were released for the NES. Never played either, but from descriptions I'm going to guess your clue is in reference to the first game?

Right but wrong. Right series, wrong game. So, 4/2=2. That's 2 points. It was actually the second one... Nice guess, though. Your turn.

I think since it's some thing simple I'll have that question at 3 points. I posted that about one minute before I needed to leave for work and it didn't hit me till at work that I forgot to say how many points it would be worth  .

That took me a while :) . Oh, and uh, to quote another post on another website where I made a complete fool out of myself "Feel free to jump in at anytime!" Of course, that was in complete capital letters, but I digress...

Remember, you can always look these up if you are not sure.

This game was about a dark knight named Cecil, as he battled the evil Golbez to stop him from waking up the Giant of Babel.

Also, this had one of the best quotes in video game history. "You spoony bard!"

I'm going to have to look this one up. I only associate the name "Cecil" with one thing and video games come no where close to it.

Just wondering can computer games be used as well?

Yeah, they can. As long as they fall under video games, which PC games do. If you do use MMRPGs, which may get confusing but is allowed under the rules, then please tell us that they are MMRPGs.

Oh, and to any new members, the Outer Space Pinball game that I've seen on some new computer as part of the game pack next to solitaire does NOT count. :D

Your turn. Just out of curiosity, did you type "spoony bard" in the search box on the internet explorer? [bigsmile]

Could that be "Reptile"?

Oh, and there is no shame in asking for help. I've had to look up the Tron answer.
