I haven't been here in over a year, but just came back now, and there's no more site. Is a new site being made, or is PVT dead? BTW, updates have been added to my Virtual G1 Transformers continuation site: http://www.virtualtransformerstv.thetfcog.com

Mike couldn't afford to renew the site. I believe the domain name is still active though. I'm sure he'll be bringing it back as soon as he can afford to. Last to my knowledge he was planning on switching from the hosting company he's used to to the one I use for FTA & the 26th Century. If I'm remembering right the hosting company he was using was asking 300 a year. Shame that it should be offline right now. The site's ten year anniversary happened on the 9th of this month.
The Virtual G1 Transformers continuation, do I have a link to that already on the FTA site? If not would you like it put on there? Sorry for the forget fullness, but I think the site has over 130 links on it.

Erin What is FTA? If it's not there, and it's also a virtual tv station-type site, go ahead and add it. Sorry for what happened to the site. Hopefully that new one can be made soon. I also got your e-mail; which I sent because I figured that one message may not have gotten any responses, as this place seems kinda dead (no offense). Responding now.

FTA (From The Ashes), I believe some time ago you gave me a couple links meant for that site. FTA is another virtual series hub. As soon as I really have a moment I'll check to see if the link needs adding. As far as how active this forum is, being "dead" as you stated it. That group meeting email was meant hopfully get things moving again. I once sent out a mass email else where on the web asking why people weren't returning. They said the main reasons being, "too much going on on the main page," and "people expect others to post before they post". If no one posts at all that's how no posting happens . Soon I'm going to be "fixing" one of these three forums. Erin

You can add my site to it, if you like. We have our own forum, btw; linked to from our site. And when PVT's new site is up, will my series then go back to it? So is Virtual TV is a slump right now? I have some ideas for new Virtual TV shows, such as Married with Children. I don't have time to work on it (at least right now), but just throwing that out there if someone wants to do it. Isn't there a Star Trek: Excelsior VS? And what's the current status of the Sliders virtual continuation?

Just this forum. You know, with the reason why this forum was made. You can regularly post on what your doing with your virtual series projects . Series updates, new series made, help wanted so on. I've never heard of ST: Excelsior but I'll try to look it up. As far as the Sliders series, only Mike knows right now what's happening with it. When it comes to your series being posted on PVT when it returns, that's Mike's decision. Erin

Erin Saw both GI Joe and Transformers on FTA, but their links led to some other sites instead (GI Joe should lead to it's Yahoo Group, as we don't have a site yet: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Virtual_GI_Joe). What part of your forum would be a good place to ask for feedback and help? And I'd like to learn more about the different Sliders series, if they all continue from season 5 in their own way. So when I post on my Transformers Virtual Series site about being on a certain virtual TF network, do I say From the Ashes? And which is best being: Syndicated, or one of the others?

Virtual TF network? Second for advice I'd go to "Problem Solving", with how the links are setup in the FTA site you might have made a common mistake. Click the link underneath the name of the series, not above. As for the Sliders series, I've only read Mike's take but from what he's told me, every fan has their own take on the afterwards of season five. I think I even read once some one had their own take on season three of the show. Also as far as where your Transformers series fits, from what I know of it, Syndicated sounds like it's best fitting place for what it is.

Erin "Virtual TV network," is what I meant. I see the right links on FTA now (for my two series). Just found the Problem Solving sub-board you mentioned, and have made a post asking for help with my things there; or would my post there be something more suited for "Help Wanted"? Sorry if I put it in the wrong section. What does being "syndicated" mean, VS-wise? I think you told me before, but I forget. And what about Partial?

I grabbed this from an archived site page of PVT: "What's the difference between the Syndicated and Weekly sections? Right now, the only difference is how often they air. Putting out a series on a weekly basis is a major amount of stress. Some series have big enough staffs to pull it off, others are just a touch insane. To those brave souls putting out weekly shows, I salute you.
For the rest, a more laid back schedule is needed. The separation has nothing to do with quality or style, just timing. We highly recommend checking out shows from both categories."
As for Partial, that means the series ended without being finished, it never got a witten ending.
With where you stuck that other post, if need be I'll just move it. No big deal. In this forum you never have to say your sorry.

Erin Yeah, if it's in the wrong place, please move it. And Transformers didn't actually end with a story-finale, so would it go under Partial? Sorry, I still don't understand how it and syndicated are different. I think syndicated means it can air any ep when it wants to/can, right?

Well that's one way of stating it but your right. If your done with the series and don't plan on finishing it, then it's a Partial.

The actual G1 Transformers show ended open-ended, but we plan on taking it to it's rightful end (then a G2 series afterward, which will also have a finale). And since we'll need time to do our eps, overall Syndicated is the right choice, right?
