OK, after hours of searching and trying to aplly Javascript I found the problem:

The title rogers2.gif is too broad it's 910 pixels. the code
Code: Select all
  <Table width="90%">

would normally rezie the table to what is needed but the image will of course not allow it to go below 910. And I was wondering why html kept going wild on me! :x [schock] [bigsmile] :?

If you're alright with it, Erin, will use a smaller image rogers570.gif (just cutting off the invisible edges and putting it centered, you will NOT notice the difference) which should solve the issue once and for all.

Ok had to go for rogers710.gif left aligned

http://jassian.com/Buck%20Rogers/rogers710.gif

http://jassian.com/Buck%20Rogers/BR26suggestion.html

What do you think?

It isn't really 100% optimized for all resolutions but it looks fairly decent
in all of them now. it's a bit of a compromize the only other option would have
been to make two separate sites for 800 and lower and above 800
and that would become quite a maintainence issue. Not too hard to set up
though, if you'd prefer that Erin.

I made the last few lines with a black background to increase the legibility in 800x600.

Any other changes? Are the colors fine?
What's up with the cursor? Shouldn't it change when above a link? At the moment you linked to the same image in both cases, body and a.

I think this looks a lot neater in the higher resolutions and is still backwards compatible with 800x600.
if you approve Erin, I'd be happy to adjust the other pages on the site too. [ok]

I see the discussion has moved on to website design, but I'd just like to say it's really cool to see Buck Rogers in the 26th Century being filmed! Great job Jassian.
